I'm somewhat of a graphic artist and I was wondering if I can use photos taken in SL of my character and use them in my art that I sell off of SL? Are there rules if I'm wearing things I did not make? And if I can use them, what if I take a picture on someone else's land, with their scenery and creations behind me? Would the photo be able to be used then? Please clear this up for me. Thanks!

Gavin, you may wish to read the related post by Ginsu Linden here:
LL's stance on artists original artwork- what is it? /139/e3/128357/1.html When doing your photos, it's always a good idea that if they're going to be published publicly, that you give credit when credit is due. Sometimes, it may be impractical to name and credit *every single thing* within a picture, but if you're highlighting specific stuff, creators generally appreciate that a lot. A formal byline listing who made it, what it's called, even where to get it, etc. So check with the content creators and see what they prefer. That goes for commercial arrangements too. Get their blessing, and both of you will be happy! It's just a very nice thing to do. ![]() _____________________
