I want to relate a personal incident that has happened to me and a friend on SL, in the hope that anyone else who come across this person can be careful and hopefully not end up being scammed like we were.

We rented land from Resident X on North Shore. We build our Aussie Club there in the hope of getting some other Aussies to come along and have fun with us. On the 30th October we were asked for more rent and so Lisalove my friend paid him a further 13,000L. A day later we get a note saying the land was reverting back to its original owners, because Resident Xwas 2 months in arrears with his rent of North Shore. When we tried to contact him about what was going on we were threatened and kicked off the land. All we wanted was our 13,000 back because we felt that that he took our money knowing he wasnt going to own the land any more. This is deception, and we were not the only people this happened to. After speaking with others who rented there also, they were all asked for money, and many lost much more than we did. After paying our money we were all told we either had to pay more rent to the new owners, or our stuff would be returned to us in a number of days. This is just sooo unfair! I later learnt that he then went and spent the money on buying sims!!! I, and the many others ripped off by him, have all filed abuse reports, for which none of us have heard anything from. Surely something like this cannot be allowed, who else has had this happen to them by this person, and why is he being let off to do it to others. that is my question. In the end all I want is our 13,000 back, it might not sound alot to some, but it was a small fortune to us!

I'm sorry to hear about your losing land and L$ Sessie :\

LL can't get involved in mediating business interactions between residents, but please do file an abuse report containing the details of your situation and suggest the same to others who have also been in a similar position. If there has been a deliberate and verifyable scam then Customer Support may be able to help.
