Just wondering. Why do avatars take so many SIM cycles? What do avatars require from a SIM? Thanks!

The physical presence of the avatar in the sim does not take up a lot of CPU cycles, however the associated network connection (through which is streamed textures, object updates, terrain, and other information) for each simulator that you look into does use up a lot of computation. Basically, the CPU cycles go toward figuring out what information needs to be sent, packaging that information up, and sending it.
