"It's clear that we need some guidelines for comments on the blog, although they will be very similar to those we have on the forums -- no trolling, flaming, or disclosure of personal information. The comments that have been removed did not meet these guidelines."
I have had yet another post removed which clearly did not meet any of the above criteria listed above for removal; it contained suggestions on how Linden Lab could placate us over this issue of the account security compromising, including a statement from Philip.
Someone with blog editing rights is over-modding, and I can't help but wonder if it is someone with a grudge against me just removing my posts because it is me, rather than anything to do with its content.
Would you also care to comment on my suggestion that removed posts are bought to the attention of the poster with reasoning why, so that they may not only improve their posting style, but also to give them the opportunity for appeal? With the forums there was at least the impression of an appeal process - even if it didn't work - yet on the blogs there is no protection for anyone posting, who can be banned at any time for no given reason and no notice. Frankly, it doesn't encourage anyone to post there.
I am in world if you wish to discuss anything raised here.
