First off..thanks for the new features..Im sure once all the bugs are worked out..it will be great.

However..speaking of bugs: Did you guys actually TEST the new version before making everyone download it? People pay alot of money to be here and some of the problems that have occured over the past day or so should have been avoided.

Also...is it me or does the new version bog systems down? After running it for 20 minutes, my computer slows WAY down and the lag makes SL unusable. I did not have this problem a few days ago when running the older system.

Yes we did test it. A lot. The issues we are having have to do with database load. These issues only become apparent on grids with thousands of regions and 10,000+ people online. Unfortunately it is extremely hard to simulate this in a test environment or to predict it, although we do try.

We are working on several things that will hopefully help prevent this in different ways. One way will let us test these changes on small portions of the main grid, or for very short times on the main grid. Unfortunately these are far from easy projects and there is no ETA for when all the pieces will be in place.

Yours is the first I have heard of the client slowing down related to this release. Please do report a bug for that, and if you can think of anything that causes it to happen faster let us know. Thanks.
