Why not "and" instead of "or"?

I guess I just don't understand why it has to be and "or" where the forums are concerned instead of an "and" ? As has been said many times many people don't like blogs. I personally hate them.

How, after seeing SO MUCH negative response to your decision to close the forums can you continue with your plan? If you were ever going to listen to the citizens of SL now is the time. Saying that LL cares about hearing the opinions of SL residents sounds very hollow when we are all crying out for you to keep the forums.

I'm probably personalizing this much more than normal, but it is just one more thing that I feel is important that is being cut out of my life. MAJOR cuts were made to the music department that I work for leaving those of us left with an impossible work load and the kids music experience seriously lacking. All of the teachers, students, parents, and even some teachers have been begging the administration and school board to change their minds and yet the cuts hold. As predicted several of our best students have left the district for districts with more opportunities, along with their state money.

If LL keeps making decisions that make the members upset like this you also will begin to see good members leaving you.

you have great reasons for wanting to have an official blog, but have both!

Well musicteacher--there's a lot that isn't seen publicly too. You don't see the contents of my email box or IMs, and that's where private stuff gets sent. Resis who're happy about forum changes but, uh, don't wanna post about it here and get bashed. So they are a little shy. :) Understandable, yes?

Let's please make it clear however that all the forums aren't going to be turned off like a TV set, oh no. Some have an open-ended, and I hope a healthy future for them, like the Content Creation ones. That's kind of analogous to art funding. Once again, the benefits of the Classifieds are going to be observed, and we're closely listening.

So yes we are having BOTH for the foreseeable future. There'll be *changes*, yes, and we'll continue to adapt.

I also want to emphasize what is yet to come and benefit Residents in the way of better communication tools. It's not here yet, but I promise to keep the community informed every step of the way--keeps us accountable and visible--and inform more about the process, so you can know more about how you made a difference.
