First account premium, second basic

Hello,

I've been searching through the archives and I've not been able to find an answer to my particular problem, but apologies if I missed it.

I understand that the Billing Policy/TOS states that each individual user can only have one Basic account, and should they wish to have a second, then they have to pay $9.95 once only, in order to have a second basic account.

I have a Premium account and wish to have a second alt, ie Basic account (at this time). Does this mean that I have to pay for it, (one time payment), or, as I'll only have the one Basic, do I get it without paying?

IF I don't have to pay, when I register the account, if I state that I already have an account, do I just get billed the one time payment automatically, or does the system know that my other account is Premium and therefore I do not have to pay?

SO, if I don't have to pay, should I declare that I don't already have an account in order not to get billed by mistake (even though I'll be submitting the same personal details already held on my Premium account)?

Sorry if the above sounds confusing, I've tried to cover all the possibilities in order to get a definitive one time answer.

Many thanks :)

Oh good question Rachel!

You sure have done some extensive exploring of the scenarios. We should have this clarified in a future Knowledge Base article in addition to the current "How many alt accounts can I have?" — for now, I'm asking our experts in this area to be sure. :)

[UPDATE] Thanx to Jill Linden, I've learned that the first free account *does* include Premium accounts. That means you won't get a free Basic account if you're already a Premium Member. Sorry -- but now you know. :)

An open issue's been filed to clarify wording in the future so there's no confusion. Thanks for bringing this up and helping us expand our Knowledge Base!
