Verification to access forums?!?!

A resident attended one of my classes last night, and claimed that he had just been told that the only way to participate in these forums was to have a Credit Card on record.

I questioned him about who gave him that information, and he replied that a *Linden* in *Live Help* told him he could not post on these forums without payment info verification!!!

Please tell me this is false (since my payment info is not on file, and probably never will be). He did save the dialog, but I didn't ask for it (TOS and all that jazz), so I have to wonder if someone was just having a bad day in Live Help?

Hey Ipenda, yes. You need:
A detailed message comes up if you don't meet these requirements. Primary reason why is, we've had problems with spammers before.

There was a glitch some weeks ago that opened a window... it allowed those without info to login and post on the forums, like you're doing right now. But the above is the way it *should* be.
