Hi,

I'd like to know why the surname Warner was made available to (at the time of this writing) a single avatar (Governer Mark Warner), but is not available in the surname list when starting a new account.

Is the surname reserved? Will it be released to the public? When?

How do I get the surname of my choice reserved or created? I'm sure there are a lot of users who'd like to pick their own last name.

I've asked about this!

Also--some may recall when "Doctorow" was a last name but then became available to the general Resident populace... but a name like "Ito" remains Joi's own.

And the general "Creating and Changing Last Names in SL" project is still something on the table with a lot of background for those who aren't yet familiar:

[UPDATE] Pardon, I must correct what I've mentioned earlier about it being a longer ways away--this may be coming along nicely. I hope to get more info for you on this. :)
