URGENT: People are becoming officers in groups when they shouldn't be.

People who are 'members' in several of our groups have shown up with Officer titles at random lately.

They say they don't know what's causing it -- luckily those who have had it happen (it's usually temporary) - say it happens when packet loss occurs.

I don't know if this is a Godmode thing or what. But when I've seen it, the titles will revert back to Members after some time.

They have the officer options, but none have tried using them yet. I've seen this happen twice so far since 1.11.

This could be VERY dangerous, as someone with packet loss who has become 'officerized' could do things like.. release or sell land.. which could be catastrophic.

I haven't been able to figure out a repro for this yet. But if people are "ruthing" into officers, this could be a very bad thing.

Michi, this sounds familiar--is this still happening? Ifso, please send the details to me at [email]torley@lindenlab.com[/email]. It's obviously sensitive. I've seen a similar-sounding issue with Members getting Officer *titles* after bad packet loss, but none of the powers.
