What does "Shortly" mean?

I have been trying to log in since 4:00 PM, SL time, so I can prepare a club for opening at 6:00 pm. Last weekend, I did not get in unilt 5:55 PM, and then only after I contacted support and pointed a few things out to them. That may be coincidence for all I know, of course.
But I am paying 75$ a month to hold land so that a partner and I can run two malls and a club, and this is getting very, very irritating.

Shortly? Two hours is not SHORTLY! Ten minutes, even thirty minutes, is shortly. Two hours is, As Soon As Possible, or Once We Find The Problem!

I humbly suggest that you REALLY need to work on reliability, and making sure that the world is accessable if you expect us to keep paying for the priviledge of running establishments in your world.

Ok, if it was a griefer attack, I apolgize. But two weeks in a row, you can understand my irritation. It is exceptionally frustrating, and I am a person, I say I am going to be somewhere at a certain time, it . . . I feel like I am being irresponsible if I don't make it.

And Shortly really does lead to expectations. I would prefer an honest, When We Get it Fixed over "Shortly," ok?

Heya Tat'Aniya'Jaesoe! Well, if you're moderately ticked, that means two of us. If you mean "shortly" as in what I replied to Alliez earlier--I meant that about Announcements being posted in response when something like this happens.

The Second Life grid will be back up as soon as possible. I'm really intent on getting back in myself, and I am really, really sorry that you--and all our Residents--are being kept out in the meantime.

Downtime like this is rare and often unpredictable, but regardless of how it happened, we always want to get everything working smoothly again. And that's what's happening behind-the-scenes right now!

It just sucks that yes, yesterday we had database issues, and today, more problems. Really bad timing. We don't like it one bit, especially on a weekend that should be enjoyable for all.

In the meantime, meaning RIGHT NOW... you can visit Second Life Preview 1.9.1. I'm flying around here with a cape.
