When will LL officially support ATI Users?

SL has been around for a while, and we are quickly approaching v2.0 and still there is no official support for ATI users. This is one of my biggest complaints about SL. Granted it does use some of the card, but it doesn't use its full potential so my gameplay experience suffers greatly, and I encounter many more bugs than I should.

My question to LL is, when can we the ATI users, who have been left in the dark for so long, expect to be able to fully enjoy the 3D Beauty SL has to offer?

Hi Little, to clarify any misconceptions, we do support a range of ATI graphics cards. They are officially listed in our System Requirements and System Recommendations:

However, some at times have pointed to ATI's implementation of OpenGL, which SL uses, as flawed. For example, this opinion piece:

That being said, it's not quite so binary, and I know many happy Resis who are on SL both on ATI and NVIDIA graphics cards.

Sometimes, another part of the computer may be the root of the problem: detailing the specific suffering you're experiencing in Technical Issues--finding others affected by the same troubles--as well as reporting those bugs would help us to get a better understanding.
