If a player rents from a landlord that does not provide streaming video, can the player buy the DVD player and videos, and watch on the TV in the rental home?

Yes--but only if your landlord allows you to change the streaming URL. This can be done if the DVD player is a group-owned object, for example. Check with your landlord for specific accommodations.  |
