steps taken to prevent copybot-2 given Open Sourcing of client?

Now that the SL Client is apparently avaiable as GPL2'd FLOSS , could we get some reassuring words about how this won't lead within a very short space of time to a sequel to CopyBot?

If such reassurances will not be available, how will I as a mainland landowner be able to restrict my land to use only by the official Linden-built client? Will Private Island owners get such a feature?

For all the above questions, "if not, why not?"
