I am an "old" (2 years++) member of SL and I rarely complain, HOWEVER, I find the new 200M "Ban" limit to be quite repugnant, and guess I need to voice my complaint - strongly.

This change really needs to be reconsidered and repealed. It turns SL into a set of "Walled enclaves"....not exactly the "free" society that I know was in the original concept.

- I have a nice "lookout View" parcel in Garmasch that now sports my next door neighbor's terrible looking RED "Ban" bands going up to 200M, so his "skyroom' can be private I guess. Looks horrible, all but "Bans" my helicopter access, all because he doesn't know about security systems. Come ON!

- I own an airport in Yamoto and a large collection of flying machines. Prettty useless now!! As many have stated, flying now is all but "banned' by the new limits.

I know SL is having major griefing problems, but PLEASE, don't use a "Sledgehammer" to fix it!!

I pay quite a bit to SL to enjoy my time here. My SL "experience" is now quite seriously diminished, and that translates into less time spent online, less land bought, and less favorable comments to potential new avatars. Read that LESS MONEY spent.

IMPLEMENT A TRUE AGE CHECK or do away with "Free Accounts", or form an "Anti-Grief Squad" with "teeth", don't simply let avatars put up 200M high 'WALLS'. Doesn't work in real life...doesn't work here.....

How would YOU feel if your neighbor in real life could put up a 600 FOOT high fence around his house!!! ???

This action it causing more arguements and bad feeling than anything I remember in all my considerable time in SL. It is ill concieved and sets a new "PRIVATE" tone I find very unsettling. Time to rethink this....Quickly!!

We hear you cruiser, and will make an adjustment to the height limitations as soon as possible. Our plan is to extend the height ban higher, but to only have it affect people who are specifically banned from a parcel (the blacklist). This should result in far fewer impediments to flying. The extension of the height limit allows for parcel owners to include tall builds and skyboxes in their bans. But again, unless you have been specifically banned from a parcel it will not affect you.
