I have some routine questions about land in sl. I was wondering if I buy more than the basic 512 and pay a tier fee do I also get a higher weekly stipend to go with it? How do traffic rewards work and how much in linden $ can you make if your land is popular? What is land swooping who are land sharks? And finally I already have 512 of land if I buy another 512 and donate it to a group do I pay a tier fee or I dont ? Thanks

There is no additional L$ bonus or stipend for additional land tier.
There are no longer any L$ or US$ rewards for traffic. The benefit of high traffic is appearing on the Popular Places list in Search, and appearing higher in the Places search. There is no other reward for traffic.
Land can be expensive - I think the last statistic I saw was around L$6 / square meter. Land swoopers are those that scan the land for sale lists constantly hoping to find really cheap land. Usually they are looking for people who made mistakes in setting the land for sale - those who sell their First Land for L$512, or set a really low price just to transfer the land to a specific person but forget to actually specify the person. We have recently made changes to the process of setting land for sale in an effort to minimize these kinds of mistakes.
You pay the tier fee for any tier you donate to the group, however the group gets to use it instead of you. If you have 512sqm of land already, and donate 512sqm of tier to the group, you will indeed pay for the additional tier of that extra 512sqm.
