Hi,

I came up with the idea of setting up a Charity Foundation for Second Life. To gain donations I contrived the concept of in-world click-and-donate 'Donation Boxes'. Just spread them world wide in Second Life and making a donation has come pretty low threshold. All land owners can place a Donation Box - ofcourse for free. And all money with be donated to a set of five selected good causes. This weekend I proposed my idea on my weblog and received positive reactions, so I decided to do some further investigations.

One of my key questions is on the field of in-world legislation. My plan is to give all donators a sort of certified receipt which they can use for example for tax-reasons. How can I certify such kind of receipts?

My Second Question is on reliability. How do I make it all look and be reliable? How can I show the people that Charityland is more than just a scammer? Where can I find a decent in-world notary? Where can I find a reliable in-world controller? In real life I would perhaps invite a group of trusted people. Which Second Life residents are trustworhty and who shall I invite?

Check the post in which I displayed my inititial idea.
