It might be a good idea to add the blogs and the knowledge base as links in the "Resident Links" drop-down list on the various secondlife.com pages.
You know, the list with My Account, Auctions, Buy and Sell L$, Classifieds, Download, etc.
Also, the in-world message that appeared when the grid was having trouble Tuesday told people to check the announcements; this should probably refer people to the blogs.
You could get a short URL like gridstatus.secondlife.com and use it to redirect people to the rather unwieldy "http://blog.secondlife.com/category/grid-status/"

[UPDATE] I entered these as issues for our web developers to check out, with a couple notes:
* "Knowledge Base" is already covered by the "Support" option in the "- Resident Links -" menu. If we find it really needs top-level placement, tho, that can be changed. * http://secondlife.com/status should have an updated link to the Official Linden Blog soon--not sure if an extra gridstatus.secondlife.com page is needed in light of that. _____________________
