Linden Lab - What do you do to improve our chances to marketing our products in world?

I have been at Forum close to same time I have been in SL - and I have a strong feeling that we are not many of the 225.000 residents read and worse fewer that contribute to the forums.

And no I dont ask how many Lindens that read... forum)


Why I ask this? - We that need to market our business we need forum and a forum with many people reading it of course.... to show our new products.

The in world solutions to tell our SL friends that we have and offer sale of our products are few - close to non existing...

What will you - LL do to help us.. now and in the future?

Good questions, PetGirl. Here's a few things you can try...

-- classified ads in-world
-- personal picks in profile
-- for those residents who offer services, we have a directory on the website which we point people to who contact us for help

Plus, we're continuing to look at improving search.

As far as forum use is concerned, about 20% of the total registered user base visited the forums in a recent month (unique visitors, April 15-May15). 15% of those visitors were new. Of the top 10 visited forums 3 are in new products. The most visited forums were, in order:

1) General Topics (/108/1.html)
2) New Products (/117/1.html)
3) New Products - Clothing & Accessories (/194/1.html
4) Land and the Economy (/130/1.html)
5) Second Life Answers (/139/1.html)
6) New Products - Body Shop (/195/1.html)
7) Scripting Tips (/54/1.html)
The Sandbox (/112/1.html)
9) Design and Textures (/109/1.html)
10) Bulletin Board (/140/1.html)
