It is no secret that posts considered 'incompatible with the Love Machine' are being abitrarily removed from the blogs on the whim of whoever happens to be reading them at the time, often simply for being honest, rather than actually breaking any rules.

Post removal on the official forums could result in disciplinary action against your in-world presence, something which many of us feel is inappropriate, but Linden Lab will not change their policy on this matter.

Could you please confirm clearly whether blog post removals are also linked to in-world action?

As it stands, many people are afraid to actually post on the blogs on any issue that you decide we are permitted to talk about, for fear of getting posts removed and the risk of game suspensions, by being accused of not following rules that are not equally enforced in the fist place. I have already AR'd one Linden for having a bad attitude against me when questioned on blog moderation policy, and sent Philip Linden an email of complaint against the individual (which, so far, has not been acknowledged).

I think the way you worded this is pretty unfair, Lewis. :(

And, it's also inaccurate.

First, problems are certainly allowed to be discussed on the Official Linden Blog, and suggestions for improvement so we can serve you better *are* visibly encouraged. For evidence of this, see all the comments here:

Second, we hope to have Official Linden Blog guidelines up shortly. And it's likely abuses on the blog will result in consequent disciplinary action on your account's record. Abuse is abuse, and noone deserves to be abused.
