Is building grid bug being worked on?

I bug reported it already and guess many did it as well since that is a very basic feature that all need to build. The "Use selection for Grid" does no longer work properly and does not take the previous selected object as center and size for the building grid. Seen in the latest fix patch was nothing about it. Is that on the ASAP list? Its quite a pain to align prims without it.
