I know, this is just a tiny blog design issue, and perhaps I shouldn't bring it up in times like this, but I only realized it in the past days how hard it is to follow blog entries with a lot of updated text.

The normal reading direction in western cultures is from left to right, top to bottom. On the blog, it's from left to right starting with line 30 somewhere close to the end, then down to line 35, up to line 25, down to 29, up to 20... it's a little confusing, and very unused for the reader's eyes. Or one starts reading at the top and gets confused by the wrong chronological order of the entries - "it's all fixed" first, then "it's completely broken" 3 lines later. (I'm not referring to the resident's comments or the index of blog entries, only to the structure within a single, often updated Linden blog news post).

Hi Istara,

Blog updates are done in reverse-chronological order, with the newest updates on top. We try to break them into paragraphs, and clearly indicate in bold like this:

[Dec. 13 @ 4:38 PM PST]

when a new update starts. Much earlier, we did it in total "normal reading order", but that aroused far more confusion.

Often, the blog post titles will be edited to reflect the latest status, e.g., [UPDATE] or [RESOLVED].
