Hello Lindens,
Since early last week, I have been unable to click/target a leg shin attachment, such as the top of a boot, and bring up the edit menu for editing purposes. More often than not, each time I attempt to do so, the appearance/profile menu pops up instead of the edit menu. It's almost as if the click sensitivity for the edit function has been dumbed down or reduced to a point of non responsiveness.
Prior to last week, as long as I was able to see and target a prim on my Av's shin, irregardless of how small that prim area, I was be able to get the edit menu to appear. This is no longer the case, as more often than not I repeatedly get the appearance/profile menu no matter how often I click, how large the prim area, or what area of that prim attachment I click on my leg.
This does appear to occur mostly when the prim attachment is very close to the skin, as those prim attachments that are sufficiently jutting out or further removed/separated from the skin are easier to target and obtain the edit menu. Please bear in mind that although this bug appears to be random in occurence, it does occur the vast majority of the time.
Please, please, please, fix this bug.
I am a shoe designer in SL and since the inception of this bug I have been unable to design, or adjust shoes, for any of my customers. Needless to say, this is obviously very distressing for me as I am currently inundated with custom and adjustment requests and unable to do anything about it but become stressed. It has literally rendered designing shoes, but more specifically boots, an impossibility.
I did meet with Teeple Linden last night and demonstrated the bug to him. He was very courteous, attentive, and patient with me and would be able to verify and confirm the bug for the concerned Linden development team should that become necessary. He also sent a bug report, as did I, so I am hoping this can be resolved quickly.
In conclusion, I am eternally greatful to all the Lindens for their hard work in bringing us SecondLife, and thank you in advance for a prompt resolution to this very important matter.
