I want to say that I have had a good talk with Philip Linden and He is addressing a concern of mine very well. He even asked me for my opinion.

This new registeration helps those who do not want to use a credit card on line. Now there are a growing number of World Citizens who have voiced their concern with using credit cards on line. My experiences with Paypal show that company, in my view, is not dependable.

Maybe instead of protesting you all should be expressing alternates that let people who do not want to use credit cards get into SL.

Here is my alternate.

1. If a person wants to sign up for SL not using a Credit Card, they have to fill out a form in which they give their Phone Number and real life address. then a week later, after the Lindens can verify your address you get in. Oh I also believe you should put in your age there too so they can check that.

2. If you want in with-out waiting, you may use your credit card for Identification only to get in.

See, its this simple everyone... Maybe you all should come up with soloutions instead of protest.

It's certainly productive to come up with solutions and new ideas, Magnum, and it's appreciated. Me, I've had my share of protesting--few know! But ah, what a turbulent history. ;)

Right now, we're aiming for the registration process to be as easy (frictionless) as possible, but at the same time, not the longterm victim of repeated abuses (the current heated concerns).

The system you propose would work well for a smaller grid, in simpler times. Unfortunately, checking each and every address would likely be extremely tedious, non-scalable, and require lots of Lindenpower needed elsewhere. A parallel can be drawn about TG--->MG transfers when a teen comes of legal age (18). Currently the process has some manual steps which could be automated better.

Nevertheless, thank you!
