$11 million?? :O

What are the plans for the $11 million dollars LL got?
Are they adding more new stuff? Or fixing old stuff? fill us in!

Why have one when you can have it both? Seriously, tho, wuv, adding the new and fixing the old isn't mutually incompatible--as you may have noticed, the two go hand-in-hand quite well.

A specific example would be the recent revamp and simplification of Buy Land. It's a new feature, but fixes a problem that existed for a LONG time... and a similar case can be made for the Abandon Land button (some reading this will surely remember when it was titled "Release Land" and there was much mourning about it).

Likewise, in 1.9, the addition of improved Estate Tools also addresses Estate Owners--and now, Managers--not previously having the control they wanted on their own land.

Up next will include an improved lighting model which takes fuller advantage of your graphics card as not just a band-aid, but a replacement for the lousy performance of today's Local Lighting. And the future isn't far away!

The demand for continued innovation and improved stability and useability means that Second Life and Linden Lab are growing fast. As there are more Residents, we'll need more Lindens too. The money will be used towards our expansion and hiring!

(Which, incidentally, makes me hope a future addition would be showing more than 100 results in the FIND queries... with so many Lindens, the current listing can't show us all!)
