another question about the blog?

Is there a way to just see the blog topics without any of the text? The endless scrolling just to see what topics are on the page is quite annoying. Is there a way to just see the topics close together like the forums show and then we click to get the text? If not please find a way to do this because it is soooo tiresome to scroll just to find an old blog that you want to read the comments for.

also wondering as Fade stated, how do we bring up topics that we want to discuss if they aren't a current blog topic?

Yes! There's something similar--RSS aggregators, fancy word for "news catcher", which can ONLY show the headlines or headlines and summaries, and then you clickthrough to see the full article. http://www.bloglines.com can do this--perhaps I should experiment with a public page sometime to see where it takes us. *makes a note*

There may also be some WordPress plugins which enable collapsed/expanded views.

We've loaded up on lots of great suggestions for improvements so we're going to work through a batch of those, and then onto the next, etc.

Nice thing about the blog is you can remix and rearrange the content in so many ways, to have it presented in a way more comfortable to you.



And it's already being done--this isn't all-exhaustive but my recent posts are in response to voluminous feedback I receive. So, Resis brought it up first, I'm just replying... you'll notice numerous comments asking "Lindens, tell us about!" and such. I can't reply to all (gosh there are so many) but I hit some high points and move to the next. What's also done in the blogosphere is trackbacking:

which right now is underused on our blog but growing.

So we have lots of options available to us.
