Hi,
I keep hearing about all the chat channels that you can have, but is there any way I can see what chat channels I currently have? Im thinking the ones that you use like /2 and those sort of commands.
Or am I completely mistaken about all this?
WoW has a nice /chatlist command that shows current subscribed channels, is there anything similar?

Hi again Rebekah. What you may be thinking of are group chats. When you join any group in Second Life and open your Instant Message window, its name shows up in bold. Double-click one of the groups and type something in, to send it out to the group. The "/2 and those sort of commands" are different. While they are "channels" and can certainly include chat (some Residents have made remote communicators using them), they have myriad other configurable purposes for scripting. Find out more here about those channels. If you're into IRC (Internet Relay Chat), there's also a #secondlife channel on the EFnet network which is not run by LL but which is frequented by some very nice and knowledgeable people.
