Teen Account Payment Methods

In a previous answer you informed me that the Paypal method of verifying a teen account doesn't work - only credit card and mobile phone is accepted. Thank you! Now I have another question/comment that I hope you can help me with.

I registered my teen with my credit card, but am very uncomfortable with the fact that he can purchase L$ with the click of a button. Not that he is untrustworthy, but I wouldn't give any 13-year old a credit card, so why would I give him access to unlimited funds off of my card? It's too big a temptation. You really need to set up a way that parents can deposit a fixed amount of funds in their teen's account, the way that Runescape does.

Is there any way to limit spending at present?

We haven't made the process official yet, but if you'd like to be the guinea pig I should be able to set his account to prevent the CC from being used for purchasing L$. Send an email to [email]blue@lindenlab.com[/email] with the name of his account and I'll see what I can do
