So I went to the Ahern Welcome Area...

So I went to the Ahern Welcome Area a few minutes ago, after the people I'd been chatting with elsewhere logged off.

And there I was, amid the hordes of avs, and I decided to give L$1 to each person I saw. An L$ here, an L$ there... about 4 L$ when suddenly my system froze. No problem. I'd just log back in, and continue to give out my money. Except...

I couldn't log back in. My account had been banned.

So I'm posting my apology. I don't know why giving out my money to random people was evil. I'm sure it's against some rightful TOS policy or another, and that the Linden who decided to ban me made the right decision.

So I'm sorry. Very, very sorry. Truly and sincerely sorry.

I will never again give away my L$.

I assure you I was indeed banned for giving out 1L$ in the Ahern WA. Or for something. I dunno. Maybe I'll get an email telling me I'm banned, and it'll be extra holidalicious and innovative and effective and all and tell me why.

Anyway. I know all too well, my dear Blue, the diff between a ban message, and a message from a SL technical failure. It was a ban message. I took a screen print and saved various other teckity wickity thingie wingies.

But heck -- I'm just a silly girl. Perhaps LL's system indeed is just uh-oh accidentally banning accounts due to a Known Issue, Unknown Issue, or ... a feature.

If it's a feature, then I sincerely apologize for my apology, and instead sincerely thank LL for adding this feature as a gift during the holiday season. How... nice. 'Specially for me -- I was there at the first SL Christmas in 02 -- 'member? Jus' me and all y'all oldbie Lindens.

Anyway. May the Higher Being, if any, of your own unrestricted personal choice, bless you and yours and all the Lindens and all of theirs and Philip and Robin and everybody's goldfish and stuff during this the glorious holiday season, and my very best wishes to all of y'all Lindens for a highly happy, healthy, and hearty New Year of Two Thousand and Seven.

I promise you weren't banned for giving out L$1 bills What you encountered was most likely a presence issue...these have been frustratingly common lately. It's recommended that you wait 15-30 minutes before logging in again. If the problem continues, contact support and they can reset your account.
