I'm a relatively new user, but my fiance and I just bought some land to build a house and a place to sell a few things. Once we purchased the land, though, we realized that in the same sim was a camping chair place, a BIG one. Not only is the sim slow, but it is always full. I'm assuming this is because of the ton of people at the camping chair place. This is ridiculous. Those places are messing up the entire sim for other people. Please shut these places down. It's not fair that we just spent 30 USdollars on somewhere that even we can't even go half the time. Is there anything that can be done?

No doubt, Sae. It's a tough issue, and I am really sorry to hear you can't get to your own home. There are several steps being taken.
One of them is an informational initiative from us debunking myths and misconceptions of how traffic/dwell is counted. I'm aware there are a number of rumors out there which hold a false belief that the longer you are present on a given parcel on a given day, the more traffic/dwell will accumulate. NOT so. Anything past 5 minutes is not counted, and further details about how traffic/dwell is actually counted are here. In other words, there is no gain for that extra pain. Additionally, you may have heard that Developer Incentives will be phased out by the end of this month, March. Some have camping chair places with the goal of being awarded DI, with not much else to do as an expansion. While this certainly worked for a time, it won't last forever. Adaptation keeps it fresh. Thirdly, if camping chairs are inhibiting region performance, that's sounds like a violation of the Community Standards, #6. Inworld, from HELP menu ---> LIVE HELP you can ask a Linden Liaison to check it out. Also have a look at how to read sim performance stats. Fourth, and I must be frank: I went through a camping chair phase myself but I have a short attention span and got bored. Residents may move onto other things on their own, or they will discover that to gain greater L$ in a shorter amount of time, that setting up their own stores as content creators, or simply buying L$ from LindeX, for example, are far more efficient. It will not always be this way. I'm also aware not to badly generalize because I realize that some locations do have other attractions in addition to camping chairs (as an AND, not an OR thing), and before these chairs, we had money balls in clubs. There'll always be something, but just as before, a combination of technological and social means will help improve your experience. In addition to letting the owner of the establishment know how you feel, you can also post here in the SL Forums to discuss further with other Resis about the issues in general. Nevertheless-- keeping with the pace of SL, we wouldn't want the grid to become unhealthily stagnant. Fun and creativity are often vibrant and dynamic. As is said, "The only constant is change." Best of hope with this. ![]() _____________________
