Why was an alternate means of identification not in place before this happened? I will repeat my message from earlier. 2 days to come up with this and we wait over a weekend to get answers to it.

Why are you ignoring these questions or giving a prepared answer for this? If the alternate means does not work, then you just shot yourselves in the foot big time! The only answer is hurry up and wait. I'm with the military, except if we have a problem, we don't go home for the weekend, until the problem is solved. Fortune 500 companies do the same, as do many other businesses and projects around the world. We seem to have found the one company that goes ah ---- it we will deal with this monday, but guess what you still get to keep your money don't you?! Get us a truthful answer or don't answer at all. Why is there a wait on getting an alternate means of id? Why was a plan not set in place when you had 2 days to plan one since the discovery of this intrusion? What are you going to do to those that are so affected by this? what about the ones that your alternate means fails and their account gets wiped out? How are you going to reimburse thee people for their losses? The Second Life Community, your customers, requests, nae demands these answers and we deserve them now! Stop the delaying tactics and prepared answers. Give us the true reasons!

We closed the exploit immediately when we discovered it. We then spent the time needed to see if in fact any data had been compromised. We don't think it has, but we want to make absolutely sure you're protected, which is why we've asked everyone to create a new password.

We should have a way that you can manually reset your password, even if you don't remember your security question, later this evening. Our web team has not gone home, but is rebuilding the security validation as I write. Please check back later on and we should have news for you on how to reset the password without waiting until Monday to call in.

If for some reason you still can't reset your password, we have increased our phone staff by 5X for Monday to make sure we can help everyone who needs it.
