I installed SL on my D: drive, and when I pressed F1 to see the SL help screen, it gives me a 404 file not found message.
This prompts me to ask if the location of the help file has been hard coded for the C: drive. So I will.
Has the location of the F1 Help file been hard coded for the C: drive?

I don't believe we have anything hard coded to C:. I'll investigate further.

I just tried installing Second Life to D: and F1 help works fine for me. It should print the directory and filename of the file it is trying to load. Does it?
In general, nothing in Second Life is hard coded to C:. We do use the Windows application data directory for cache files, which is usually on C: or wherever you have your operating system installed.
