Visited Shermerville this weekend, following Molly Montale's suggestion. No new residents came running out to meet and greet, and nobody was in the sandbox. In fact, it seemed pretty deserted.
But *Sigh*
Shermervillagers have just what we in Blumie and WH need, a community meeting place, a playground and a community pool. The pool, however, is too deep and not as much fun as the Blumfield Community Pool, if I do say so myself. If there's a way, I would be happy to leave a swim machine for community use. Can a Linden contact me about that?
SVers still need a marketplace, or they may find their little neighborhood full of strip malls and strange shops like we in Blumie and WH have.
BTW, what's with this Blumfield 2 that's showed up on the SL map? Are we being cloned? why the same name?
Blumfield keeps developing and changing, and who knows what will happen after Feb 20 when land sales open up. We now have a very nice coffee shop and a monument to our founder. Special thanks to Patch Lamington for all his efforts to continue community in our fair 'hood.

Jeanne I loved your post and found that much of what you said is what we're all thinking and talking about... things we would like to have in Blumfield, and need. Since we feel as a community that Blumfiled is very special and that we've all worked very hard to make it the happy place it's started out to be, I'd like to make a suggestion: Because we can't have zoning and since a park wasn't constructed for us upon our arrival...Lindens, how about giving us water! Not a pool...but a pretty stream or lake that all of us can enjoy and be proud to invite guests over to enjoy with us. I think this would make our small community a little more fun, and we'd have something for all of us to work together on....boating, fishing, or just lounging. I have to agree with Jeanne that it wasn't really necessary for there to be a Blumfield2, since there are endless choices for names, and we wanted to remain unique. However, we will remain unique in our own way, since most of us have already formed bonded friendships and we all see Blumfield as a wonderful place to unite Thank you to Lauren Linden and to everyone who helped put this idea together. When I first arrived in SL I wasn't sure I wanted to stay. I certainly didn't know whether or not to upgrade and when I did, I didn't know if I'd keep it. Now that I reside in a fantasy world that is everything it should be, I know I'm here to stay

Ah, sounds idyllic. Meanwhile, we'll make do with a few 512m2 parks and pools, and the illusion of water at the sim edge. And if there are any budding garden designers out there who could help me with the layout of the Blumfield park, drop me a line
