Hello. I was just curious and was wondering if someone could answer this one for me. Once I reach the highest land tier of 195$ is my max land 65km or is there a way to get more than that? Im sure Ive seen others w/more than that listed on some group sales things. Thank you for the help.

Yes you can get more. I made a mistake on my group contributions and it bumped mine up to 1 1/2 regions, was around 300 bucks I think.

Unless things have changed, the tier units once you reach whole sim size remain at $195 per sim, in whole sim units.

So if you have a 1 sim tier at $195 and you need an extra 1024m, you move up to a 2 sim tier at $390.

Nope! Step size is half an sim.

Meaning you can hold areas equivalent in size to 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 etc. sims. There is no additional tier 'rebate' above one sim. You always pay 195$ per 65536 sqm (resp. 97.50$ per 32768 sqm).

If you form a group and deed land to a group, the group gets an extra 10% of land allowance. A group must have at least 3 in the group. If you intend to be the only land contributing member, make sure you are the only officer, as any officer can sell land from the group for any price, to anyone. You can create 2 alt accounts to form a group also.

And of course, you can form a group with alts and tier up an alt in small increments.

So if you wanted a sim plus some small amount over what you can get with the 10% group bonus, then you could tier up one of the alts by that amount.

Let me see if I understand all this right :)

the $195/month tier allows you 65536sqm or 1 full sim

if you want more land than the 65536sqm you will go up in 1/2 sim incriments (32768sqm for $97.50/month)

if you create a group and deed all your land to it you can get 10% more than the alloted sqm (so instead of 65536sqm you could get aproximately 72090sqm)

so even if you made 2 alts and bought land w/only one, the above is what would be allowed that one

Please let me know if this is right. And ty all for replying. :)

You're basically correct, but I'll just re-state some of it for clarity.

To make a group, you'll have your primary account plus 2 alts, for a total of 3 accounts.

If your primary avatar is at the 1 sim tier level and gives all of that tier to the group, then the group can own 1 sim + 10%. Well, actually a little more.

You can own 512m2 with a premium membership. If you're at 1 sim tier, then you can own an additional 65536m2. For a total of 66048m2.

If that tier is given to the group, then you get an additional 10% (~6604m2) tier. So the group could own approximately. 66048 + 6604 = 72652m2.

In this scenario, only the primary account is premium. The 2 alts could be on the basic plan.

It can be a little bit tricky getting the land into the group. If you already have land, then deed it to the group and check the "owner makes tier contribution with land" box. This will transfer just enough tier into the group to support the land you're giving it. You'll probably then want to go to the land tab of the group and manually give the rest of your tier to the group. After that, you'll want to use the "Buy for Group" button when buying additional land.

Above all, take very seriously any land buying dialog that says that the tier level of your account will be increased. Cancel out of the dialog if you're unsure because there's no way to undo it once you make the purchase and if you go even 1m2 over your tier, it will automatically increase your tier level by half a sim, if you're at 1 sim or above

The original 512 included with your premium account is not reflected in the tier level amounts; so do you get a full sim plus 512 for $195?

Ty all for the input here. One more question tho :)

If the group has just the 3 accounts but is made up of more than one person, and each is contributing land to the group, can the group exceed the 72652sqm? or is there a max on how much land a group can own?

Two concepts are applicable here: Land and Tier.

In order for a person to own land, they must make a monthly tier payment for at least as much land as they own.

For a group to own land, its members must contribute some of their monthly tier to the group. The group can own as much land as the sum of all the tier that its members contribute.

Tier and land can be given to a group independently. So, for example, Person A could give 512m2 of tier to the group and this would allow Person B to give 512m2 of land to the group. It's also possible for Person B to give 512m2 of land to a group and make a simultaneous contribution of 512m2 of tier. But the group cannot own any land unless someone contributes tier to the group.

So the answer is that there is no limit to the amount of land a group can own, but it normally can't exceed the amount of tier that it's members have contributed to the group (+10%).

I know that's confusing, but there it is.

I rather wonder if that +10% applies only if your group owns atleast a sim, or if it applies even if you own less, like say 1/4 of a sim.

10% applies to any amount large and small. If a group has the tier, it gets a 10% bonus. period.

Hi ZATZAi!!! we gotta make a date to go sailing together.

you get the 10% no matter what. it just seems like more once you tier up to a sim.
let's all use our spare 10% to keep the water open for boating :-)
