Anybody a currency trader on GOM?

What I mean is, do you just buy/sell Linden Dollars for profit and aren't really buying L$ for use in SL.

Yes, there are people that do this.

I was for awhile a few months ago. Not enough fluidity yet for my taste.

Is the spread wasn't so large, it might be easier to trade the market.

And IGE Wheeling has suddenly slid down the leaderboard (strokes beard) hmmmm...

And as Led Zepplin once sang : "And it makes me wonder........"

Siggy.

Well toilet or not, the value the L$ wouldn't matter in a trading pit. The interesting thing would to see 2 different virtual currencies trading against each other. (ie: SLL/TBUX or SLL/TSO). Shifting currencies between other currencies.

Maybe in the future..

I never liked TSO because I hated spending all my time feeding, bathing, etc, and the settings would never last any time. I didn't feel like watching myself play chess 24/7.. :)

The spread has to be greater than the commision rate for day trading to work, it has been at, or lower than, this for quite a while now...

GOM is not trader friendly. They charge a 3% commission to the seller. So for instance, if I bought L$100,000 Linden dollars @ US$4.00, it would cost me US$400.00. I would then need to sell that L$100,000 pot for US$4.13/block to just about break even.

Example:
======
Buy: 100/blocks @ L$4.00 = US$400.00
Sell: 100/blocks @ L$4.13 = US$413.00
Comm: US$413.00 x .03 = US$12.39
----------------------------------------------
Profit Less Commissions: US$0.61/cents

Since GOM charges 3% on sales, it makes its very nearly impossible to daytrade in the short term the Linden Dollar. Although GOM is 100x better than IGE, it still could use some improvement.
