I am interested in hearing from those who build landscaping items: Trees, plants, waterfalls, ponds, fountains, gazebos etc....
I have a dream to build a bontanical gardens of sorts, that also functions as a "mall", if you will, for those looking for landscaping. Everything would be arranged in a park-like setting.
Before I buy any land, I want to test waters out first. My preference would be for a parcel in a mature, core sim that has a lot of terraformability. I know these are hard to come by, but I have hopes that someone holding onto a parcel might be inclined to sell if they knew there wasn't going to be some griefing, ugly build going up next door to them.
Any ideas or interest out there?

i'm in the process of rebuilding fate park on around three-thousand meters in southern zoe. it's filled with free landscaping items that people have contributed to the community over time. it's loosely arranged areas include cacti, flowering plants, deciduous trees and tropicals.
fate gardens is also being reconstructed on six-thousand meters in north taber. it'll be park like as well but will contain the plants that i sell and use in contracted landscaping projects. if the project ever earns enough money to purchase and support an estate sim, it'll be terraformed into contiguous terrans much like a biosphere with the aim of providing varying climates for people to wander through while learning about the relevant flora.
you do want land in a core sim so that you can execute the terraforming that you will need. there's no inherent reason that it has to be mature. i prefer pg land because it tends to be less laggy and have higher turnover for ease of addition to my surroundings when i'm ready to expand. of course if you have a reason to need the mature rating, it's better to be safe than sorry.
crowcatcher valen has areas of magenta for sale. ou might want to talk to him. there's also a reasonably sized lot for sale in federal. i've no idea who owns it. if ou can handle pg, the learning center in mauve and a very large lot in NE ritch are on the market. these are all terraformable to forty meters up and down from the 1.2 bake.
hope all this answers one or two of your questions.

Any ideas or interest out there? Isablan - I create plants, trees and fountains. For the portion that you would use landscaping the mall I would charge. However, if a portion of your property is dedicated to a public park only, then you are welcome to any plants that I create at no charge. I donate my plants to public parks and builds. I even work with you on custom things if you have a theme. IM me in world. If you want to see an example of my plants, they are on SLEXCHANGE.COM under Homes and Gardens and Landscaping. Rose

What I had been envisioning (subject to change, as reality intervenes) was something like a botanical park set up with little tableaus, such as the tropical jungle, Zen meditation garden, English rose garden, etc.... Where people could just hang out to enjoy and those who were shopping for landscaping services/items would be able to buy individual items or even a whole package as displayed, which might include a fountain, plants, trees, benches.
Any and all ideas are welcome (as is the injection of reality)...
