Looking for some new Completely Obvious™ problems with the economy.

Tired of reading the same old junk on these forums? Sick of the 5 billionth thread on stipends/basic accounts/land barons/campers/furrys ruining the economy? Then help us come up with some new Completely Obvious™ ideas on what the cause of all our woes is! Just post your Completely Obvious™ idea here, along with whatever logic* you need to explain it. The Great First Land Plot

Land barons based in an asian country (your choice which) are using unemployed World of Warcraft gold farmers to open premium accounts, buy entire sims one block of first-land at a time, collectinga months premiums, and closing the accounts. The proceeds are then dumped on the Lindex at low rates to convert to US dollars which are quickly removed before Linden Labs (all hail King Philip!) notices the suspicious account creation information.

This explains the huge blocks of currency at low rates popping up on the Lindex, and the lack of available first land. Linden labs, keep stipends and remove First land! Otherwise teh Linden will soon be worthless!

The Great Land And The Economy Plot

LL are deliberately releasing random L$-related announcements for no reason apart from to keep people arguing pointlessly about entirely irrelevant matters in the Land & Economy forum. They don't really give a rat's arse about the exchange rate of the L$ or anything like that, but as soon as it looks like the flaming is dying down some Linden will post something about how L$ will now be exchangeable for Bells from Animal Crossing or whatever.

This is done for two reasons:

1. to distract from the real evil plans that they have (GOMming prim babies, forced furrification etc);

2. for a laugh. Dance, L&E monkeys, dance! *pokes forum with stick*

Numpty's hording L$ and selling in bulk 'cos they think it's clever.

Linden should ban all Numpty's from accessing the Lindex with more than L$250 for sale and they should only be allowed to sell a max of L$250 a month.

Numpty's are prone to boughts of pointless stupidity, random attacks of irritating behaviour and occasional boughts of whining. Numptys can be spotted by observing their behavior on Forum or in world... This is commonly designated as acting like a prat but other descriptions include a plank, a muppet, a plonker etc etc etc...

Resolution of this problem/plague would result in instant L$ stabilisation at the hallowed L$250/1US$ and peace and tranquility for all, however the Forum post rate would probably plummet thus making it pointless to maintain and reducing the entertainment level from daft threads to zero.

Maybe Linden could adopt a Numpty pet scheme where responsible residents could 'own' a Numpty, then they could allow them out for a day now and then, just to add some spice and fun should things get a bit too quiet.
