simple question

no one including me really wants to discuss how much they make in Sl BUT with a poll like this that is anonymous no one will know how much any one individual is actually selling in SL
but we may be able to get a good gauge on what the "average" seller is selling
so the question is
how much do you sell on average on a daily basis?

That poll should probably go lower. I'm not making even L$700 a week, personally. (Someday, though, someday.) Granted, I seem to perpetually have less money than the people around me, but surely I'm not the only seller out there with an ultra-tiny business?

awe Miriel but from the looks of it from what i saw on SLEX you have the makings of a good business and I'm sure you will do very well indeed :D

I find quite the opposite. Despite my protests and fingers stuck deeply in my ears (which amazingly does not stop me from seeing typed chat  ), people just will not refrain from telling me how many $Ls they make.

Thank you. :) (Indeed, I hope to be bigger!)

Still, an "under L$100" option on the poll would probably get you more thorough results. Not that any forum poll is going to be enormously accurate.

The poll results seem more balanced than I expected. I thought the "I don't sell anything" would be a lot higher. The people I know who don't sell anything never come to the forums though, that could explain it. It'd be interesting to see a similar poll about costs and profit, and compare them with this one. Except I don't know how to make polls yet.

interesting results indeed i just wish the 356 people that viewed the pole at the time of this post would have voted in one way or another since it is completely anonymous poll. then again.

as a lyric from he group Rush goes "even if you decided not to choose you have still made a choice". what there reason for not voting is anyone's guess . they clearly have chosen that they prefer not to vote though.

oh well I was really hoping this could give folks a gauge on how well there doing and new people starting out a goal to shoot for. but with out more votes the poll will be virtually meaningless. well i guess that is appropriate for a virtual world.

Missing option: I don't sell, I give stuff away.

I have a real job, I don't want another one. So even though some of the stuff I make would probably sell reasonably well if I set up vendors and marketed it I'm not going to.

I think the thread title and the poll question are a little confusing.

"what would you consider a decent income" & "how much do you sell on average on a daily basis?" are two very different questions ;)
