The Lindens need to put thier foot down and stop this sort of thing from going on. This is so utterly blatent this person should lose every bit of land they own and barred from ever owning any again. Grrrr

You have two different land owners, the one in the middle surrounded by another. This makes me so mad I wanna break things. It has happened to me, twice but not quite so... so blatently.

If the person who owns the land in the middle wasn't asked for permission then that's pretty damn obnoxious. If they were asked and don't mind then there's nothing wrong with it. I do think LL needs to establish some clearer guidelines... like you can only wall off 1 sides of an neighbor's parcel if your land wraps around it. Or something. My guess is, if that hasn't been done with the neighbor's blessing, that it's already a TOS violation.

This is a conceptual test. I IMed the land owners and let them know this. It is, in all likelyhodd, not going to remain. Perhaps next time it would be nice to IM inworld and ask me before you post something like this. Just a thought.

If this or something like it DOES remain, I have also let the land owners know that I WILL work with them and find some way for them to stay and for it all to look nice. This is NOT a buyout or "griefing" tactic in any way, shape or form, if that's what you were implying.

I did offer to buy all of the land here way before we started construction, but at this point I would rather simply work with the land owners and make it nice for all.

You are correct, I should have asked. I did say if this is what it looks like. Being this has happened to me twice now I snapped. Irregardless LL needs to do something about people who actually use this sort of tactic and it does go on all the time. My appologies.

As the owner of the "surrounded land", I'd like to make the following statement:

Shaun and I are on very good terms, and have discussed how my holdings will be integrated into his overall concept for the area he is building. As such, I have no problem with him trying stuff out, especially as I am always warned in advance. Shaun has even offered to raise my land to his street level, should he settle on such a design. The prims in question are already back down, whilst Shaun further ponders the possibilities.

Although I am touched by Kat's concern, although I feel the gun was rather jumped here, when it comes to the reporting of abuse.

Please, wait until you have consulted the supposedly offended party, before speaking on their behalf, however well-meant.
