IGE Overstocked?

With the rise on the GOM occuring today I thought I'd take a look at what the current IGE
quote was running. I got this message whe I tried to get a quote:

We are currently overstocked on this server. If you feel that this message is an error, please contact our live support

Interesting.....

Seems to fit with the amount on the leaderboard when they were last overstocked, they had risen to 18 million then, obviously lower than their previous peaks, just comparing with their last overstocked state, if they are changing position in the market.

I think that's their standard message when they "turn off" $L buying on the web site. LL said the IGE accounts were locked out temporarily. Because they can't deliver $L while their SL accounts are locked out, they have to turn off $L on the web site. When they turn it off, that's the message.

IGE is back up and guess what kids - they've dropped their sell rate down to 3.15US per 1KL. If I'm not mistaken they were running at around 3.30US last week and 3.80US about a month ago.

I checked the IGE site about an hour ago and they were overstocked.

This isn't looking good for people who use lindens to pay RL bills aside from SL.

I see angry people in the near future *gasp*

As a general rule do not disclose the information requested to arbitrary entities on the internet. You can and will likely be ripped off.

I'd say Malachi was making a joke. Re: the "Trust Us" line is a dead give-away.

Oh, I expect it was a joke as well. I just didn't want someone to not get the joke. As many "phishing" scams on the net have shown, there is sometimes someone who does not immediately spot such scams or jokes for what they are.
