How is additional land tier charged after I've paid yearly?

Hi all. I am currently at the 512 land tier and paid the $72 for the year. But I was thinking about buying another plot, and moving to the 1024 tier. How will I be billed for that? Will I be billed be an extra $5 per month, or $60 for the year, or what?

Thanks in advance for any help, can't seem to find the answer in any of the FAQ's.

Your land tier is billed monthly, regardless of the premium method you chose. I believe it is charged on the monthly anniversary of your join date. Ie. If you joined on the 21st May, and you bought more than 512m2 on 1st July...then your monthly land tier would be billed on 21st July, then 21st August, etc. If I'm wrong, then the way I get billed doesn't make sense.
