More Prims per Sim?

Alright, I read the FAQ, and it is evident that there is a 15,000 prim limit per sim. I'm wondering if there is a way to increase this limit, as 15,000 prims is relatively small. Small you ask? I mean, whom can use up 15,000 prims?
Well, I'm going to end the that debate before it starts. Take a sim and divide into groups of 64 square meters (an 8 by 8 block), and then see how many plots you have. You have 1,024 plots, rounded up. Take 15,000prims, and now you only have 14.65 prims per every 8x8 meter grouping of land. Yeah, it's fine if you want to leave a lot of it as trees, or having nothing on it. But if you want to develop your sim.. it gets a lot harder. Because you can't build much on 14 prims, even in an 8x8 square (1-prim tookie hut? 1-prim cylinder stool?)

Yeah, you get the point. And yeah, it really makes me wonder how people like Anshe are managing to run their big businesses.

Regardless, is there a way to increase the 15,000 prim limit on a sim? I mean, can I BUY extra prims for a sim, per month even?

And I've heard something about a 'protected coastline' in a sim, where the Lindens own part of the sim.. and I was wondering how THAT works out with the pricing and the sim prim/land usage.

Anyway.. feel free to respond if you have an answer to the question. Please don't debate whether or not someone can use 15,000prims. That's not the point..

Thanks

This is of course being worked on. Any increases in server efficiency will be utilized to their fullest benefit, which not only includes more prims if possible, but also other concerns such as increasing FPS, etc.

15,000 is the current limit because, primarily, your client doesn't do well with any more in a sim.

That and the current physics engine is having enough of a problem simulating collisions with 15k prims.

Wait until havok2, and then, wait another year or two, then we'll get more prims.
