I'm new and sorry if this has been discussed already. But what is the purpose of the sit and earn chairs? I like them, it's a place to make a little money, but how does it work economically? The owner of the property pays people to sit on their land, but where does that money come from? Just trying to understand the economy a little better. Thanks.

You might think of it as a land owner 'buying' a higher popularity rating in the places list...they don't make any money in the deal, but bringing in more people sometimes increases sales in the shops or whatever.

That's kind of what I thought. You get people to your place and there's a chance they'll buy something there. Ok. Thanks.

Just to clarify a little bit. Having a higher popularity rating (traffic) does, in fact, make money for the owner of the land through Dwell and Developer Incentives. Dwell and Developer Incentives are primarily what are being "gamed" with these "camping chairs." There are other benefits to higher traffic numbers though, such as the added advertisement benefit gained by your location by appearing on the "Most Popular" lists, or giving the impression of a more popular locale by virtue of higher traffic numbers when compared to your competitors or other similar locations. |

An idea was posted about camp chairs(can't remember who came up with it, but it wasn't me) that I'm currently in the design phase of implimenting, that being turning the camp chairs into a zombie shooter game.
![]() EDIT: Here's the link to the original idea. /108/ba/78261/1.html |
