when will it be possible to sail a boat from the main continants to all those lil sims in the middle of nowhere?

Would this be a possability in the future? I just like the idea of eploring by boat without having to teleport at all.

I like to sail over great oceans then being stoped wen I walk/fly into a server wall.. it would be great to have isle of oceans and some islands of a 5x5 region space or more to sail the open seas with a crew and a rival ship :D

Those sims in the middle of nowhere are private sims, as such most of those people do not want you to be able to sail to them

Oh I don't think many would be too bothered, anyone who wants complete isolation will have their sim off the map anyhoo. Which leads to an interesting point - even if there was a way of funding the servers need to create oceans around all sims (and this is of course the reason we don't have it now), there would have to be massive holes where the hidden sims are.

Let's have the East part of the map reserved to islands that owners choose to make reachable, and the West part for the unconnected islands ?

I'd rather see gaps filled in around the mainland, like an ocean going down to the new southern continent.

*wishes to sail the high seas*

Just think:

Trade Routes!

The Neualtenburg Navy!

Gorean Pirates!

Mainland Refugees!

We so gotta have this, it isn't even funny. I don't care if there is a Bermuda Triangle or two.
