Well, I'm out of the land business. It seems they no longer confirm your teir upgrades before you buy. I just got hit up for another half sim of teir. I know its my mistakes, but with as slow as things have been, and Second Life's inability to deal with me over half a sim of teir, that give me 59753 meter2 land free to buy in 4 days before the teir payment. I think this is just a good time to pull out. Good luck to everyone else. Prepare for a little over 3 sims worth of land to be sold off without any buying done in response.

Is this developed, rented land that produces income? No, but I already had a buy offer for all of it, so I'm going to try to get rid of it in a different way than just dump it all for cheap on the market. IM me if you want details. |

Dark, One question for you - doesn't the buy dialog tell you of the tier change? LL claims that it does. _____________________

It tells you up above the purchase button. I was in a hurry at the price the 512meter2 was at, and its my fault, but I'm tired of the way things go around here, there have been other problems in the past I won't go into. I'm not going to go buy 60,000 meter2 worth of land to just try to use up half a sim of land for 4 days. I'm ecspecially pissed off when they helped others with the same problem, but won't help me. It's alright. My being pissed off just means a good price for someone else on alot of land. Shouldn't hurt anybody. Bye.

This on top of where I think the overall economy is going, problems with groups getting paid in my worst month before Christmas, and now I'm just to tired of things to go buy almost 60,000 meter2 worth of land to just try to use up half a sim of land for 4 days. The Land Business is Murder. Don't go into it unless you have a stack of cash...

I have a lil questions/things:
1-> Selling ur land to the winner must be done like: 1 PG plot, 1 M plot, 1 PG plot, 1 M plot.... 2-> Do you have a list of ur lands? Can u copy-paste here from land page. 3-> how the auction will run? type here the latest bid? ty. |

Dark, One question for you - doesn't the buy dialog tell you of the tier change? LL claims that it does. I assume it tells you in the text but if they rob you it still has 3 green check boxes and no warnings that catch your attn without carefully reading. They DON'T give you time to read you have to actually purchase the land before its locked to you. So if you take time to read you can lose the land to someone else. It's theft by LL every time they trick you and don't refund plain and simple. ps until they restore(not fix it was an intentional change not a bug I have the email to prove it) buy for group with set you can't even lock the land to you with that button. LL is trying to milk land owners for hundreds of dollars over mistakes caused by them forcing you to rush through. Its theft, trickery and I don't blame Dark one bit for calling it quits. I'm seriously debating whether I should be staying in in this environment and watching LL's moves closely as should every land owner. pps ok its not 3 green checks when i looked at a property I didn't want there is a red arrow but that is so hard to catch in normal buying I would still swear I saw 3 green checks even though I know I couldn't have. I would still call it theft unless they introduce something to forcably interupt the routine and make you aware you have to agree to pay extra to buy the land. Or at a bare minumum a chance where no one else can purchase the land and you have a chance to read and check for mistakes before accepting the purchase. |

Yeah. The new buy land window, while well-intentioned, still needs some work.
Yesterday, I bought a plot of land for the first time since the new buy land window appeared and mistakenly thought the amount field at the bottom was for the amount to pay (you know, kind of as a way to confirm that you realize how much you're paying by making you enter the amount, kinda like initialing things on a contract). As it turns out...the amount field is actually for an amount of extra currency to buy on Lindex, so I ended up buying the plot and then also buying a sizeable chunk of L$'s on the Lindex when I had no intentions of doing so. |

Hi Dark, Second Realty would be interested in discussing buying your land, if you are interested of course. Otherwise, best of luck.

Fare thee well, Dark. We hadn't much contact in-game but in what little we did I found you to be honorable, forthright, and generous of spirit.

I can go with the PG and Mature sell off one after another if it seems you are going to buy all the way through. Plus it has been brought up that no one else can post to the auction in the other thread, I'll post your bids if you IM me. If you want to pay cash as one person seems to do, just use the equivelant of 280$L/meter2 for the exchange rate, and we'll convert the price without Lindex. P.S. Sorry about the spacing. This editor automatically cuts out all the white space. |

Which very nearly happened to me - and if relatively 'old' players can fall for this (scam? bloody stupid bit of programing? - go on YOU choose), imagine what is going to happen with noobs? This whole 'update' of the land tools has been handled incredibly badly. Firstly I don't think ANYONE wanted THIS Secondly it manages to LOOK like LL is just building money grabbing features in for their own benefit. Thirdly it broke a vital trading tool (buy land set to 'sell to', for group) Fourthly it's made it crystal clear that there is STILL no QC system in place in LL development because the bug above wasn't caught - indeed initially we were told it didn't exist! This sort of unwanted 'update', with all the baggage this one carries, does nothing but harm to LL's image from a customer viewpoint - will they NEVER learn? _____________________
All very well for people to have a sig that exhorts you to 'be the change' - I wonder if it's ever occurred to them that they might be something that needs changing...?

And I'm not an LL basher but this puts a shitty taste in my mouth. _____________________

I just got a US$ cash offer from a friend I couldn't refuse. I'm not walking out of this down after all. Thanks for all those interested in the land, but the person is paying more than I could expect in the auction. Good luck to you all.
