Ok, this is a question that people have tried to answer for me, but I need to SEE it in writing, I guess I'm a visual person lol. I've searched high and low on the official SL site and cannot find a clear-cut chart of charges. I'm on the cheapo lifetime plan while I explore and figure things out in SL, and would like to CLEARLY know what all of the options are. Can anyone help me with this? Here is an example of what I'm looking for.

Plan 1 - Lifetime $9.95, Montly 0

L Allowance: varies, based on ?? time in world? ratings still?

Allowable Land: none

Total charge p/month for all of the above = 0

-----

Plan 2 - Montly $9.95 p/month or cheaper if more months are paid up-front

L Allowance: varied bonus mentioned above + 500L ?

Allowable Land: 512M / how many ?? prims?

Total charge p/month for all of the above = montly fee only? any additional land fees?

------

Plan 3 - next tier of land ownership

???

Is this all spelled out somewhere that I'm missing?
Help? Thanks!!

If you go into "my account" you will find a link eventually on the lower right-side that says Land Fees. That contains the list of tier fees.

The Basic account gets you no land. The $9.95 premium gets you a free tier of 512. Tier is what you can apply to land you purchase. So if you purchase 512 sq meters of first-land at $1, you pay $512 and get 512 to keep for free, i.e. with no further payments on your account.

Once you go over 512 and purchase 1024 or more, you will start to pay up the scale, i.e. $5 extra dollars over the free 512, etc. It's on the schedule.

There are usually 117 prims on a 512 plot.

You get stipends on these accounts, a basic amount of $500, then the rest depends on how many ratings you've earned. This amount was recently halved.

Plan 1 you have described correctly, Sherrade. The stipend you get is L$50. In addition to the L$50, you get an amount based not on the number of ratings you have, but the number of ratings you have compared to everyone else (basically, how are you "ranked" in the world).

Quite honestly, since the economics changes, I would not bet on getting significantly more than L$50 for a long while. Ratings are expensive now (as they should be) and people only give them out when they feel they're deserved (as they should be).

512m2 of land gets you 117 prims. To find out the prims you get in a plot, realize that 15,000 prims in a sim are divided equally amongst 65,535m2 of land. 15000/65535 gets you the number of prims per meter. Then take that number and multiply it by the number of meters you're looking at to get the number of prims that would be available.

With a premium 9.95 a month account, there are no additional fees as long as you own 512m2 land or less. Owning more than that land will cost you extra fees, as they're listed on the Land Fees under your account settings.

BTW, you can have a basic account and pay Land Fees to own land.

Not any more Mole, they closed that one down several months ago. Those that had done so can still do, but since then, new people can't.
