I'm working on an article for The Democrat about the history of stipends, and the different stipend systems people find themselves in currently. Can anyone offer more info about older stipend systems?
Here are the ones I'm sure of:
PREMIUM
After July 21, new premium members pay the same as before, but get L$400/week in stipends (signup bonus?)
Before July 21, premium members get L$500/week and a $1000 signup bonus for new credit card info accounts

BASIC
Accounts created after May 29 who do not submit new credit card info get no stipend and no startup money
Accounts created after May 29 who submit new credit card info get no stipend but do get L$250 in startup money
Accounts created after ??? but before May 29, 2006 get L$50/week plus L$250 startup money

There's also talk of lifetime accounts offered in the past - can anyone tell me about stipends associated with these?
How about land tier allowances for earlier members versus now?
It's hard to piece together the info from forum posts and old websites, so any help you can give will be greatly appreciated! Also, if you are interested in being interviewed or quoted for the story to share your opinions, please let me know. Thanks!

There is a cornucopia of articles there on other topics related to this, just search around.

Thanks! That will be a great help in the beginning research. Any users with a lifetime account interested in talking to me for the article?

That all depends on what you're planning on asking...

Also, the weekly stipend for basics of L$50 only applied if the av logged in sometime during that week.

There were two types of lifetime account offered.
