I submitted a PayPal credit yesterday 7/31 at 2:30 and have not yet received the funds. Does anyone know how long these take to process and what the delay is? I know I've bought Lindens with PayPal and the transaction was a lot faster that way.

i was looking for an answer myself. they sure are quick to take money from people when buying lindens ... why the hell couldnt they just set it up to refund your CC used as payment for the game instead of bullSHYT paypal.
paypal blows. lemme say that again ... LL paypal BLOWS and in this day and age .. paypal BLOWS ..its a bizentiene POS.
big whoopidy doo .. someone has to type in an email addy to hit pay. My question is ... this 5 days it sits there doing nothing ..where is the money sitting? This is money that could potentially be gaining interest (.13 at Ginko ... as an example).
Is LL gaining interest on this money?
Personally ... 5 days is too long being i can sell stocks on etrade via the internet and have hte money wired to my account in less than 24 hours. granted ..it costs like 12 bucks ..but it might be 12,000usd they are wiring ... anyway my point is 5 days is too long.

Actually it takes less then 5 days, it usually takes 1 day unless its the weekends, since lindex operates in technology that is 5 years ago, they require manual help from a guy to push the buttons to do mass payment everyday. They refuse to tell us when they do this mass payments so we will be able to sell it before they do it, so it will go faster, Since we are dealing with Linden Lab, we know nothing is fast in their company, but its weird how fast it takes your money and how slow it sends it. I like paypal because it sends right into my account and i have a paypal masterscard and i can just go out and spend that money, instead of transfering to my bank account which takes 2-3 days just to do that.

Yeah the delay does suck, seemingly they batch job it but still has manual oversight. Either they need to batch it more often or give accounts with authorised payment information and paypal accounts automatic processing.

Fraud protection and fraud does exist in SL. LL doesn't say how big the problem is but with all the content theft it could be very big.

I have made 3 credit requests this week. All 3 were processed in less than 24 hours.
Thank you Lawrence!

Are you sure you know what you're talking about? You're blaming paypal for something that isn't their fault. First, it doesn't take 5 days to make a paypal payment. if you are verified, and have a credit/debit card and bank account, you can do an "instant transfer", which btw, means it's INSTANT. This is EXACTLY the same when you use a credit card. This may be different when not in the US. Paypal bank transactions usually only take one business day to process.

For a long time I would receive my payments the same day. In the last couple of months they've gotten slower and slower, for awhile exactly 5 days. It's funny, I have no idea why but I know a few people that get their money instantly from LL..and I mean within an hour or less. At this point I don't expect my money for 2 to 3 days, if it's less I'm surprised.

Actually credit cards aren't allowed to do this - I think it's cause then they would be in the banking business instead of the credit card business. Wonders if that might change some day.
