When purchasing L$ with a credit card, does the credit card company consider it a purchase or a cash advance? In RL purchasing foreign currency (or chips at a casino) with a credit card counts as a cash advance, not a purchase. I'm sure lots of people here have purchased L$ with a credit card, so how is it considered?
On a related topic, it seems that currently the only way to receive US$ from L$ is either to have a check mailed (with a high fee) or have it credited to a PayPal account (which then incurs both the SL fee and the PayPal fee). If one uses a credit card to purchase L$, why not have the card credited back when L$ are sold? Any plans for this?

Credit card companies like their cards to be used for purchases, not crediting.

I have used a visa card for $ thousands to add credit to my account and they are all counted as purchases.

yea it's a purchase & if ur not working in USD u get charged by your bank for the exchange (my bank charges me £1.50 on each order!!!)
if you're worried bout the exchange fee, run it into paypal, exchange it there then send to SL
