LL needs to destory some L$ and stop flooding SL with new land. Help get the dollar back up.

The Median price for a meter of land is L$3.91. That means 50% or more of the land in the game is sold for less than L$3.91.. Thats just nuts. The median should be 2x or 3x that amount. But all this new land is just too much for the economy to absorb.

LL needs to grow its population in proportion to its new land auctions. And I think LL is just pumping out land and trying to make its revenue off land tiers once the land ends up in somebody's hands.

And why, pray tell, are you under the impression that should be?

I find L$4/m2 to be just about right. I know that some oldtimers will disagree with anything above L$1/m2, but the L$3-L$4 range was what land values first settled on after the auctions began.

We should just ditch the L$ and go with real dollars. Oh wait, the USD has recently turned into play money as well. Better go with euros then =)

Yes.. The peso is worth $0.11/cents. Although it has risen a penny in recent time.

Hrm ... an interesting response but I am afraid I will have to pass. If, however, you have some actual insight I would be willing to discuss it. See, I happen to disagree with that target range for certain reasons :-)

Yeah 3 smackers a meter that sounds ...... hmmm..... reasonable... just like it was what I started.

Siggy.

My understanding is that there is a constant "dwell pool" for daily dwell bonuses. If the number of places has increased and is servicing an increased number of residents, then the L$ / dwell point will necessarily go down.

LL is employing a valid strategy. Why do they NEED to get the price of land up? In fact, LL probably prefers the recurring revenue land tiers generate in addition to the "buy in" effect which ownership creates among members.
